The South Fence

Hedd's chickens have gone missing, and he has heard the same talk from other people. He sent you to Colm, a herdsman in Barleyvale Fields. Colm flinched, then said some of his sheep are missing too, and that he saw nothing.

Hedd was sorry to hear about the sheep. It was not enough. He sent you to Mira. She would not quite say the word, and she was sure: a werewolf. She told you to see the fields for yourself after dark. She did not come with you.

At night in the fields Colm was mumbling, and he did not know you were there. You asked what was wrong. You fought the werewolf and knocked him out. He woke as a man. A witch cursed him years ago. He begged you not to tell Hedd or Mira, and he does not know where she is.

You found the witch. She will not help, and she says the curse cannot be lifted. Colm's last hope is the druid circle in Stagwood. A charm keeps creatures out, so he cannot go himself.

Agnes taught you the moonbind wreath and the shape of the ritual. She does not know the words. Colm told you it was done at Ravenscar, gave you the words, and agreed to meet you there at night. You crafted the wreath and kept it in your pack.

At the ruins, under the moon, you placed the wreath on Colm's forehead and spoke the words. The curse lifted. He thanked you and asked you to meet him in the fields. You did not tell Hedd or Mira.
